Very busy for a local business, but always willing to listen to what concerns you and sort out what you want done - rather than what they can make money out of you for. You want the works, they'll go for it. You want just a small job done, they'll fit you in anyway and you get the same service. Honest business and serious about what they do. Suit all budgets and reasonable prices, no pressure to have extra work done. Thanks for being one of the few truly honest workshops I have come across :)
I cant speak highly enough of Clinton at Wam Mechanical. Honest. Experienced. Competent. I have no affiliation other than a repeatedly happy customer for vehicle service and repair. Family now travel from south of Brisbane for 4x4 pretrip servicing, trailer servicing and accessory fitting, tractor and small engine servicing at Wam Mechanical. Wont go anywhere else.
Great service and decent price. The Land Rover blew its water pump in Deagon and the RACQ towed it back to WMR at 1930, having called them in advance to book it in. The problem was confirmed at 0800 the next day, new pump sourced and fitted and finished by 1600. The new pump price was reasonable and the labour very modest rate according to Google examples.Same experience previously to get the power steering pump replaced. I use the Landy for work so can't afford to have it laid up, so WMR being flexible and getting it fixed so quickly is a Godsend.
Disgusting and dishonest. Took car in and asked to change the oil/ fuel and air filter plus the oil please. I came back to pick up car, looked at the invoice (new spark plugs and leads, oil, air and fuel filter plus oil), paid the bill and went home. I check under the bonnet next morning and find the same parts in the engine bay as I originally had. (I mark each part before with a permanent marker 'B' before I take it into the shop). Only part that was changed was the oil and oil filter. $550 to change the oil and oil filter.Disgusting and dishonest not to mention rampant fraud and criminal behaviour. I won't be going back.
